A little about the owner...
Melissa is a Green Bay, Wisconsin native and has earned a bachelors degree from Purdue University in Hospitality Managment. She has managed full service restaurants in Indiana, Virginia, Maryland, and Wisconsin, both as a kitchen manager/chef and dining room manager, and was a banquet and catering director in Washington DC, before returning to the Green Bay area.
Melissa has always had a passion for made-from-scratch baking, a lost art in these days of 'convenience items'. Upon finding a need for "better baked goods", she founded Sweet Melissa Desserts (www.betterbakedgoods.com) and now services many locations in Northeast Wisconsin with her Award-Winning Cakes, Cheesecakes, Scones, Dessert Bars and more.
Melissa designs and handcrafts from-scratch wedding and specialty desserts from her state licensed kitchen and showroom in De Pere, Wisconsin. She believes your special occasion deserves nothing but the best!
